What do you invent today?
Exploration in computer science
Where there's a will, there's a way.
Emerging ubiquitous computing age has been bearing versatile interesting opportunities of research and invention across computer science and other disciplines. After my experience on computer science in Carnegie Mellon University followed by several year experiences at the web startups, now I am back at Keio University in Japan and pursuing my research on ubiquitous computing.
Current Research topics
Your attention is new bottleneck in computing.
Attention-aware adaptation in ubiquitous computing
As computing power and resource continue to grow, human's attention is getting the single most precious resource in ubiquitous computing. My current research in on computing system that executes adaptively towards human user's attention status. more...
User's queuing activity detection in urban ubiquitous computing.
People's queuing activity, such as those for restaurants, shops, or transportation is one of the signs of interesting events currently happening in urban environment. My current research involves in detection and analysis of such events, using sensors of user’s mobile devices. more...
Networking among species on the earth.
Internet of Living Things (IoLT)
Internet can be a new means of communication not only among human users, but also among many other species, including animals and trees. My interesting side research topic includes exploration of such internetworking. more...
